How can I run a successful Facebook advertising campaign?

A successful Facebook advertising campaign has many aspects to it. Here is a quickguide to the basics.
For a successful Facebook advertising campaign, you will have to design the right message, that can find the people who want your products or services and finally you need to formulate a plan so that your advertisement is displayed at the right time.

The first thing when you are creating a Facebook Advertising campaign, is to identify your goal. Facebook give you a number of options such as website visits increase your conversions boost your posts etc. It is important to make sure you make the correct
Secondly you need to determine who is your target audience, Facebook gives you choices with regard to your target audience. You can choose the demographics of your audience, their locality and their behaviours
The next step is to design your creative or the image that is going to promote your Facebook advertising campaign. It is important that your design meets the Facebook guidelines for images which state that there must be no more than 20% of the image containing text. The auto scanning that Facebook employ can sometimes mean that even though your image has less than 20% text the placement of the text means that more than 20% of the image has type or text in it, which will also result in your image being rejected.
You should also be aware of the size of image that Facebook recommend (recommended Facebook sizes can be found here)
Next you need to consider your copy or wording, you will often find that your first attempt at the wording is not your best, you can change the wording (and your image) at any time, you should come up with more than one idea and see which of them gets you the best response. (This is called A/B testing)
Bids and Budgets are the next thing to be considered, Facebook give you an almost bewildering number of choices for your bidding and Budgeting options, You can turn your ads on and off at different times of the week or day of the week, you can choose who to show your ad to and you can set a budget for your ads by the day the week or by the campaign.
