What is Content Marketing?

The idea of content marketing is to attract and retain clients by creating and delivering relevant and valuable information to your clients with the idea of changing or reinforcing the client behaviour.

It is an ongoing process that is ideal to put into  into your overall marketing plan, you will communicate with your clients (and prospective clients) without actually trying to sell them something (well not directly anyway). Instead of offering your product or service, you will deliver information that gives your clients information and helps them.

The idea of content marketing is that if you, as a business, deliver ongoing valuable information to clients, they will in the end reward you with their business and loyalty.

Content marketing is an ideal way to complement your other forms of marketing, latest research shows that consumers are becoming quite adept at ignoring traditional advertising methods, they own TV’s that allows them to skip ads, they do not buy magazines like they used to and it can be shown that the latest generation who have grown up with Facebook can process information without looking at the banners that surround the item holding their interest.

So do not forget to include some content marketing in your marketing plan
