Engage your client – A Tip by Marketing Dan

Engage your clients When thinking about your marketing it is important to engage your clients. Not necessarily give them a diamond ring but think about their needs. It is a fact that most customers are not really interested in you or your company. However they are interested in what you or your company can do for them. It is worth remembering this when you are writing your marketing material. Engage your clients by telling them what you or your company can do to solve their problems. Once you engage the client by becoming the answer to their problems you will find them much more willing to recommend you or your company to others than if you are just another supplier. If you are not sure if your copy is the kind that will engage your clients send us a copy of your wording and we will cast an eye over it for you. Leaflets – A Marketing Tip from Marketing Dan

Leaflets At one time or another most businesses have considered sending out leaflets to promote their offering. For some the leaflets have proved to have a very worthwhile ROI (Return on Investment) For others the results are less spectacular. This is often due to a lack of planning of the leaflets campaign. It is not just a matter of throwing words together giving them to a designer, adding pictures, then printing and giving them to a delivery boy. You need to plan for your demographic. You need a design that attracts the recipient, but does not detract from your message. You need to consider a call to action to ensure your leaflet attracts a good response. Consideration needs to be given to where the leaflets are being delivered, the demographics of the area you are targeting is most important. Finally you should decide on what is the best time to drop your leaflets, it is easy for a small leaflet to be lost in the mass of advertising material that can hit your mailbox from the national chains. If you are considering leaflets then maybe send me an e-mail, one of our team will call to discuss your needs and see if we can help Please follow and like...

Database Management – A Marketing Dan Tip

Database Management The idea of database management seems a practice that is relatively new but in fact databases are an older idea than most people realise. Many Businesses and government departments have used paper based databases for storing information since they began collecting information. However by the 1960s, these started to be replaced by simple electronic devices using simple databases. During the 1970s, the relationship database model was developed, and this technology has been refined and developed during the interim period. Today there are any number of database management solutions available in the market.  However Database Management is all about keeping your database up to date and using the information that it can contain to assist your marketing. A well designed database management system will allow you to segment your clients, as it will contain details about their buying habits, their personal likes and dislikes, important dates and personal information. (Database management is at the heart of many of the “invasions of privacy” cases that are often in the news as large organisations and government departments use social media to gain more insight into their clients behaviour) Whilst this amount of information is good for large organisations, your database management system should at the very least, have your clients name, company, position, telephone number, e-mail adress and what they have bought or enquired about, you can even use a spreadsheet if you are just starting out and cannot afford something else. Whatever you use it is recommended that you keep your database up to date by spending some time on it at least weekly. Of course all the data in the world is...

Loyalty Scheme – Marketing tip by Marketing Dan

Loyalty Scheme A loyalty scheme will allow you to reward your best customers and improve overall customer satisfaction levels. You will find that loyal customers buy more (and may be willing to pay more). A well run scheme can increase your  profitability and extend the amount of time and the frequency your clients place their orders with you. You may find that the customers in your loyalty scheme are good advocates for your business. They recommend you to others, (free marketing the best there is!!) A customer’s recommendation  is a more powerful reason for a stranger to use your product and services than any advertising campaign.
