Target Marketing – A Marketing Tip from Marketing Dan

Target Marketing This is probably my most repeated marketing tip around the office Target Marketing is the art of getting your message where it will be seen by a relevant audience. (target is also what you are when you are rung by salesmen saying they will get your message in front of Thousands of people) If you are selling pork sausage and someone says they will get your message in front of 1,000,000 prospects a day it sounds a good deal, but its not such a good deal when you find out the advertising is being seen mostly in Israel. A bit of an extreme example but we have clients ringing to tell us they have a great offer from XYZ to put their ad in XYZ’s publication, often they will reconsider when we point out their target market is not XYZ. So – before spending money on advertising always think targeting – or even easier get Assist Marketing to think about the targeting for you    Please follow and like...

Competition Analysis – A Marketing Tip from Marketing Dan

Competition Analysis   It is difficult to market your product or services until you have carried out some competition analysis on your competitors. You should know what kind of offers, prices and/or fees you are selling against, this enables you to ensure your offering is competitive in the market place. If you do not carry out the competition analysis you are “flying blind” in your efforts to market yourself It is good practice to carry out this research regularly as you can be sure that some of your competitors may well be doing the same to you!!!   If you are not sure how to carry out the competition analysis or indeed you do not have the time, give me a call (0508 20 10 20) or contact me by e-mail and I will help you sort it out       Please follow and like...

Mobile Website – Marketing Tip by Marketing Dan

Mobile Website Why should I have a mobile website?? Around 60% of  adults have a smartphone. Most of them are searching the net using their smartphone or other mobile device. Not many of them will have the patience to zoom and drag your web site around if you do not have a mobile friendly web site. A mobile friendly web site will automatically resize itself to the size of the device they are searching on, it will also enable the user to contact you with a quick press of one button. It stands to reason a mobile friendly web site will help increase your on-line results. Most good websites are now designed to fit onto the size screen they are being used on, so someone viewing your site on a mobile phone will have a very similar experience to someone who is viewing on a desktop computer or a tablet. If you have a website that is not screen adaptive then you can still have a mobile friendly front page for your clients to contact you at a surprisingly reasonable cost. Click here to see an example of a mobile website, you will find you are able to click through to our regular site from the mobile site. If you access this through a mobile phone then you will be able to call us with a single press of the button, mobile sites like this are ideal for trades people or restaurants and takeaways, where clients can contact you quickly. Obviously a mobile website is not quite as good as an adaptive website, but you will find they are...
